Job Description

Responsibilities

Lead Barbell Standard’s growth marketing across the customer journey from awareness to advocacy.
Collaborate with the founder to translate a growth vision into a practical, prioritized, budgeted roadmap.
Manage people, projects, and standards to ship the roadmap on schedule.
Build and own an operating system for strategy execution: roadmap, briefs, contractors, quality control, reporting, and cadence.
Decide what matters, what waits, who builds it, what success looks like, and how to measure impact.
Shape the marketing contractor bench and guide future execution hires.
Increase qualified demand value by improving conversion, lifecycle performance, repeat purchases, and durable non-paid growth.
Execute a mix of content, SEO, social, product education, launches, merchandising, referrals, loyalty experiments, and other owned initiatives as needed.
Maintain clean tracking, reporting, and attribution logic.
Note: Paid ad account management is not part of this role.

Requirements

Meaningful e-commerce, DTC, growth, lifecycle, CRO, or customer journey experience.
Commercially sharp, organized, high-agency, and comfortable in a small company where judgment matters.
Ability to manage contractors professionally, improve imperfect work, prioritize under ambiguity, and push projects across the finish line.
Strong taste and quality standards; acts as the creative, commercial, and customer-experience quality filter for marketing work.
