Job Summary

Own the creative development and production pipeline from idea to delivery, shaping concepts, storytelling, mood boards, shot planning, on-camera direction, and guiding editors to ensure final content aligns with a strong founder-focused narrative.

You’ll lead the creative development and production process from idea through final delivery. That includes:
Brains forming and pitching original content ideas.
Strengthening my existing ideas with better hooks, angles and storytelling.
Planning shoots, including concepts, shot lists, locations and schedules.
Creating visual mood boards for every shoot, including video and photography references, lighting, framing, poses and overall aesthetic direction.
Developing complementary photo concepts for Instagram carousels, YouTube thumbnails, LinkedIn and other personal brand content.
Directing me on camera while allowing my personality and voice to come through naturally.
Filming, organizing footage and providing clear creative briefs to editors.
Reviewing edits, providing feedback and ensuring the final content aligns with our agreed creative vision.
Final video editing will be handled by my existing editors or editors you recommend. You’ll be responsible for guiding the creative direction and quality of the finished content. Editors will be paid by me.

Requirements

Your portfolio demonstrates strong long-form YouTube and short-form storytelling.
You understand what works on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, and why.
You know the difference between documenting a founder’s journey and producing an influencer vlog.
You’ve directed founders, executives or other on-camera personalities.
You have a strong creative eye for composition, pacing, visual storytelling and mood boards.
You bring ideas, not just a camera.
You’re proactive, organized and comfortable collaborating with editors.
You’re based in Dallas and available to travel.

Preferred

Bonus points: Experience working with women founders, beauty or lifestyle brands, or African and diaspora audiences. Photography skills and experience directing photoshoots are also a plus.
