*Overview:* The Los Angeles Jazz Festival is seeking a Webmaster to build and manage the festival’s website as the central digital hub for all audience, partner, and ticketing activity. This role will ensure the platform is dynamic, reliable, and conversion-focused, serving as the primary source of truth for lineup announcements, ticket sales, and event information. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-moving environments and understands how to balance user experience, performance, and scalability. We are building the inaugural team behind a new cultural moment in Los Angeles. This is a rare opportunity to shape something from the ground up alongside artists, community leaders, and world-class partners. *About The Los Angeles Jazz Festival* The Los Angeles Jazz Festival, a new, 17-day addition into the international jazz festival global market, will include music, art, fashion, food, culture, and feature 25 free concerts in parks, a youth jazz camp, a jazz industry conference, coastal cultural tours curated to document the ugly histories of coastal racial pushout and over 150 musical performances at mostly woman and person of color owned restaurants, bars and galleries throughout the greater Los Angeles region. The festival will culminate with a 4-stage Caribbean street festival in downtown El Segundo, CA, immediately followed by a weekend of live performances from the main stage on Dockweiler beach, showcasing world-class musicians, climate awareness, while keeping the majority of tickets free. *What you’ll own (The Festival’s Digital Home) * * Lead the strategy, build, and ongoing management of the festival website, the hero platform and entry point for all in conjunction with: * Head of Partnerships, Chief Publicist, Head of Communications & Government Relations, Finance Director and Ticketing Director. * Ensure the site is the central, up-to-date hub for tickets, lineup, schedules, FAQs, travel info, accessibility, and partners * Build systems for rapid updates as announcements evolve, with a special focus on ticketing * Optimize user journeys from discovery → ticket purchase * Collaborate with marketing, ticketing, partnerships, and PR to keep information aligned * Oversee integrations with ticketing, email/newsletter/SMS, analytics, and sponsor needs * Maintain site performance, speed, SEO, and mobile experience * Develop workflows so the platform can scale in future years *Who you are* * Experienced in high-traffic event and/or entertainment websites * Experience integrating ticketing providers * Think in systems and user flows * Calm under changing information * Obsessed with clarity and usability * Comfortable translating leadership needs into digital execution * Able to move fast without sacrificing reliability * Background in growth or analytics * Familiarity with accessibility best practices *Success looks like* * First time fans & longtime followers alike always know where to go * Minimal confusion or customer service strain, especially as it relates to ticketing * Strong conversion from site visit → purchase * A platform leadership trusts as the source of truth *Proposal Requirements:* Interested individuals (or firms) must submit a proposal that includes the following: * Cover Letter * Resume * Draft social plan overview, with a high level budget for an International Jazz Festival for purposes of offering insight into how you would structure this campaign. * Examples of past successful marketing campaigns previously executed. * Confirm the hours available to commit to the project, including the following; * Must be able to be on site at our Headquarters during most of the first week of each month, particularly on Friday for a full Executive Team Meeting. * Must be able to participate in a daily 30 minute, virtual briefing with the President & CEO. * Must be able to participate in a Monday, Wednesday & Friday 9:00am - 10:00am Full Executive Team virtual briefing. *Selection Criteria:* * Pre-Proposal * Relevant experience and track record in event marketing and the music industry. * Strategy and approach. * Budget and cost-effectiveness of the proposal. * Virtual interview * Final proposal * Final impressions based upon an In-Person interview Work Location: Hybrid remote in Los Angeles, CA 90016
