Job Summary

Own data-first marketing planning and cross-functional execution for Stanford Medicine, aligning plans with strategic priorities, and driving measurable outcomes through analytics and stakeholder engagement.

  • Data-driven strategy and optimization across service lines, with focus on metrics that matter.
  • Own end-to-end planning and execution, including audience, positioning, tactics, timeline, and performance reviews.
  • Partner with Market Insights, Performance Analytics, Digital Engagement, and Brand Engagement to ensure alignment and drive results.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Proactively leverages data and analytics to identify and propose optimizations to existing marketing efforts as well as identify new marketing strategies and tactics to deliver against service line/department goals.
  • Leads development of holistic and actionable marketing plans that align with organizational priorities and include strategic marketing objectives, target audience definition, positioning data points, key messages/differentiators, tactics, timeline, and metrics.
  • Oversees and holds ultimate accountability for the execution of marketing plans and closely monitors outcomes/metrics.
  • Builds and maintains strong client relationships, through in-person engagement, with key stakeholders and departments throughout the organization, acting as the primary point of contact for assigned service lines, programs, etc.
  • Regularly provides and presents updates to key internal and external stakeholders regarding marketing activities, metrics and outcomes.
  • Closely collaborates with functions within the Marketing Department including Market Insights and Performance Analytics, Digital Engagement and Brand Engagement to ensure marketing efforts align with and drive support for Stanford Medicine’s goals.
  • Garners support for marketing plans and programs through collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders to influence and effectively reach agreement in a diplomatic and efficient manner.
  • Leads client interactions with a data-first approach, including market insights as well as performance analytics to inform marketing plans and tactics.
  • Influences go-to-market plans that differentiate Stanford Medicine, engage the community as well as maximize current slot utilization.
  • If managing direct reports: coaches, mentors and develops Marketing Managers to foster collaboration, increase efficiency and deliver measurable results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a work-related discipline/field from an accredited college or university.
  • Seven (7) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience.
  • Five (5) years of supervisory experience.

Preferred

  • Experience in an academic medical or community hospital setting preferred.
