Drawing on expertise across written, visual, digital, and electronic media, the Communications Manager develops and executes comprehensive long- and short-term strategic communications plans and builds the Center's brand to position it strategically among its partners and audiences.
translates compounding climate hazards, air pollution risks identified through geospatial epidemiology, and health equity findings into clear, compelling narratives for policymakers, funders, partners, and community audiences alike.

Requirements

5 years of progressively responsible communications experience, including strategy development and execution.
Experience designing and managing social media strategy, digital channels, media relations, and multi-channel marketing campaigns.
Experience preparing senior leaders or subject-matter experts for media interviews.
Proven ability to translate technical or research content into clear, compelling public-facing material.
Experience defining success metrics and evaluating communications performance.
Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities under deadline.
Ability to work collaboratively and coordinate work with leadership across a complex organization.
Bachelor's Degree in communications, public relations, journalism, public health, environmental studies, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred

Bilingual English/Spanish, with the ability to develop and adapt communications fluently in both languages for bilingual, bicultural community audiences.
Global Climate Communication experience.
