Job Summary

Own the end to end innovation portfolio with Stage Gate discipline, turning category and consumer insights into launcher decisions and cross functional execution.

  • Innovation portfolio ownership: lead Stage Gate from concept through retailer launch and commercialization feasibility.
  • Cross functional execution: coordinate Marketing, R&D, Packaging, Operations, Finance and Sales to hit timelines and milestones.
  • Data driven risk and opportunity: surface issues early and back actions with market and performance data.

Job Description

Responsibilities
  • Prioritize innovation and renovation opportunities based on consumer trends, retailer needs, whitespace opportunities, and the competitive landscape.
  • Maintain a strong point of view on category and consumer/industry trends; collaborate with RGM and Category Management to monitor category and brand KPIs and translate trends into implications for the business.
  • Support concept development and early-stage innovation planning, including business rationale, launch timing, and commercialization feasibility.
  • Maintain visibility to project status, launch timing, dependencies, and resource needs across the innovation portfolio.
  • Proactively surface risks and opportunities and propose actions supported by data.
  • Lead cross-functional innovation and commercialization projects through all phases of the Stage-Gate process, from concept approval through retailer launch.
  • Own project management responsibilities, including launch timelines, workback schedules, milestone tracking, risk management, meeting facilitation, and stakeholder communication.
  • Facilitate Stage-Gate meetings, document approvals and key decisions, and ensure teams remain accountable to deliverables and timing.
  • Coordinate decision-making and alignment across Marketing, R&D, Packaging, Operations, Finance, and Sales.
  • Proactively identify project risks, gaps and blockers and escalate solutions as needed to maintain launch timelines.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive marketing experience, ideally within CPG, food, brand, or category marketing.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional projects, including launches, campaigns, renovations, and sales enablement, from concept through execution.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional projects (launches, campaigns, renovations, sales enablement) from concept through execution and post-analysis.
  • Experience leading a structured innovation or Stage-Gate / NPD process from concept through commercialization is strongly preferred.
  • Market Analysis: Ability to analyze and synthesize data and form logical conclusions, including understanding market trends, customer needs, the competitive landscape, and performance in the marketplace.
  • Excellent Communication: Clear and effective oral and written communication skills, with the ability to convey ideas and information to different teams and stakeholders.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and align day-to-day work with overall marketing goals, including developing approaches that improve product positioning and market presence.
  • Collaboration: Works well with cross-functional teams and can coordinate and often lead them to support product launches and initiatives.
  • Executional Excellence: Manages multiple deliverables concurrently while maintaining attention to detail, brand consistency, and a consumer-first mindset.
