  • Define roadmaps and launch plans
  • Align cross-functional partners
  • Grow attach and revenue per household

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Actively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
  • Product line and roadmap. Define the product lines on the connectivity roadmap. Partner with Product Management and Offer Management on what Spectrum builds, buys or partners for, write the marketing requirements, influence what gets built and in what order, and sequence the committed roadmap into the marketing calendar. Own the partners that sit above the network: Thread and Matter ecosystem standards, certified router and smart device partners, the white-label home security partner, silicon and carrier partners behind cellular backup, remote support vendors, streaming onboarding partners, and gaming and entertainment partnerships. Hold each to committed launch dates, co-marketing terms and a commercial return. Measured on attach rate, revenue per household and churn.
  • Positioning. Author the positioning for these product lines, working to the positioning set at portfolio level. Define how whole-home coverage, always-on reliability, security and voice become customer benefit, and make the case for a managed service over equipment customers buy themselves.
  • Launch and enablement. Build the go-to-market plan for each launch across families running on different cadences, including platform changes that affect the existing base, and plan the customer communication that protects satisfaction through each one. Give ecommerce, retail, care, field technicians and direct sales what they need to sell and support the services, and confirm each channel is ready before a launch goes live.
  • WiFi. Own the WiFi portfolio end to end: Advanced WiFi and the migration of Panoramic WiFi onto it, Whole Home WiFi sold with extenders, Invincible WiFi with cellular and battery backup through to Invincible WiFi 8, WiFi 7 routers and the WiFi 7 Extender through to its second version, the WiFi 8 generation of routers, mesh extenders and multi-dwelling hardware, WiFi Coverage Optimization, Do Not Disturb pods, multi-link operation for extender backhaul, channel puncturing and WPA3. Each hardware generation creates an upgrade opportunity across the installed base, and this role owns the plan to convert it.
  • Security and parental controls. Own the security portfolio end to end: Enhanced Security sold as a subscription, Security Shield including the residential proxy and mobile security, Security Shield On The Go with VPN, Spectrum Safety parental controls, Advanced Device ID, Certified Router validation for retail routers, IoT vulnerability scanning, the ancillary security marketplace covering identity and credit protection, and Spectrum Home Security delivered with a partner.
  • Connected home. Own the connected home platform: Thread networking, Matter interoperability across smart home ecosystems, Router-as-a-Platform opening the gateway to third-party services, Delphi quality of outcome and application reporting, Spectrum Preferred smart device sales, Complete Care remote technical support, Xumo seamless onboarding and WiFi First.
  • Residential voice. Own the voice portfolio: the Metaswitch to IMS migration, voice portal consolidation, voicemail migration, cross rate center porting, star code alignment, High-Definition Voice, Call Guard, emergency call alerts and the high-capacity ATA.
  • Attach and monetization. Grow what each household pays for on top of Internet. Set the attach and upgrade targets, and own the plan that moves customers onto paid services. Where a service moves from included in the rate to sold separately, build the positioning, plan the transition messaging for the existing base, and make sure what is included is stated accurately from the date it changes. Own the product side of the base communication plan, since almost all of this sells to households Spectrum already has.
  • Claims, research and testing. Author the claims this product line uses and partner with Consumer Insights and Product Management on the research that substantiates them and the tests that read what works. Research design and test design sit with Consumer Insights. The claim strategy is set at portfolio level.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Experience owning a consumer product family end to end, from marketing requirements through launch and in-market performance
  • Experience growing recurring or value-added services that raise revenue per customer
  • Experience marketing a service that moves from included in the rate to sold separately
  • Experience working to a multi-year product roadmap and turning it into a marketing plan
  • Experience authoring positioning and claims substantiated against independent measurement
  • Experience bringing products to market with technology, ecosystem or white-label partners
  • Experience working with a product organization on build, buy or partner decisions
  • Experience delivering through cross-functional teams without direct authority
  • Ability to turn a technical capability into a benefit a customer understands

Preferred

  • Residential broadband, connectivity or a comparable consumer technology business
  • Marketing managed WiFi, mesh networking or in-home connectivity
  • Marketing consumer security, such as parental controls, threat protection or home security
  • Marketing smart home products, or working with smart home interoperability standards
  • Marketing a white-label or partner-delivered service sold under the company brand
  • Content, gaming or entertainment partnerships bundled with a subscription
  • Attach, upgrade and retention marketing to an installed base
  • Marketing a product line across more than one technology footprint during an integration
  • Use of AI tools for research, analysis, content and competitive monitoring
  • MBA combined with an undergraduate degree in engineering, computer science or a related technical field, or comparable technical depth gained through experience
