Job Summary

Own commercial stewardship for energy assets by pairing day-to-day coverage with cross-functional learning, shaping capacity marketing, risk limits, and revenue forecasting to drive anchor shipments and project economics to FID.

  • Lead cross-training and coverage to understand commercial strategy and day-to-day activity.
  • Monitor market dynamics and counterparty risk to inform revenue forecasts and contract development.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Engages in cross-training with Adelphia Gateway and Leaf River leads to learn and understand commercial strategies.
  • Provides coverage for day-to-day Adelphia Gateway and Leaf River commercial activity when needed.
  • Supports the development of strategies for capacity marketing, optimization, and Hub Services.
  • Provides commercial relationship building, including travel to customers, and potential customers. Provides after hours and weekend commercial support as needed.
  • Supports S&T Leadership to advance project development for organic projects to FID (final investment decisions), working to obtain anchor shipments to support such projects that achieve established target IRRs (internal rates of return) for capital investment.
  • Tracks and manages counterparty credit exposure.
  • Maintains operational capacities and risk limits for LREC Risk Management Framework.
  • Leads the preparation of the S&T Commercial Monthly Report.
  • Monitors and reports on new shipper contracts, development projects, open seasons and maintenance at competitor facilities and/or interconnecting pipelines.
  • Provides analysis of market dynamics (flows, pricing, etc.) and other factors that could impact shipper behavior and/or the value of S&T assets.
  • Assists with the development and maintenance of the S&T revenue forecast.
  • Tracks and manages action items and task lists related to various Commercial initiatives.
  • Manages reporting obligations (S&T Leadership, Operations, PM, Scheduling, Regulatory, Contracts, Credit/Risk, Accounting, and FP&A).
  • Provides commercial input for monthly accounting close process.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; Master of Business Administration.
  • Up to 2 years of related experience or strong internships in related industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Command of Power Point, Excel & Word.
  • Travel Requirements: up to 10% for customer meetings and office visits.
