Job Summary

Own the content lifecycle from ideation to distribution using AI tools, ensuring brand-aligned outputs and data-driven optimization across UK social channels. Job Description

Responsibilities

Use generative AI tools (e.g. Claude, ChatGPT, or AI-driven video and image platforms) to generate initial drafts, scripts and social media copy at pace
Sub-edit and refine AI-generated outputs to ensure factual accuracy, SEO optimisation and strict adherence to brand guidelines
Schedule and monitor campaign performance across UK-focused social platforms (LinkedIn, TikTok and Instagram)
Track engagement and analyse data trends to identify which content formats perform best
Work with the wider marketing team to identify content gaps and keyword opportunities that support organic lead generation
Support PR activity across the built environment sector, helping to build strong relationships with the sector press
Ensure all content, whether AI-assisted or PR-led, is consistent with Barbour ABI's brand voice and tone of voice guidelines

Requirements

Relevant, demonstrable experience in content marketing and/or PR, gained through hands-on work experience (for example in an agency, an in-house marketing or PR team, an internship or a placement) or through a relevant marketing, communications, PR or journalism degree
Hands-on experience and a keen interest in using AI tools (e.g. LLMs, Midjourney, Adobe Firefly) for creative processes
Impeccable written English, with a strong eye for storytelling and editorial judgement
Foundational understanding of digital marketing principles and basic SEO best practice
Comfortable working at pace across multiple content formats and channels at the same time
Exposure to, or a strong interest in, PR and media relations within construction, property or the wider built environment sector is a strong advantage
