Social Media Manager and Content Creator

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage content for both the company and founder, maintaining a clear calendar and a distinct voice for each.
• Film estate-sale previews, standout items, team stories, behind-the-scenes content, and conversations with Aaron.
• Edit short videos with strong openings, clear storytelling, clean audio, and readable captions.
• Write captions and posts, create simple graphics and carousels, and publish a consistent weekly mix of videos, photos, stories, and written content.
• Manage our social channels, starting with Facebook and Instagram for the company and Instagram and LinkedIn for Aaron.
• Respond to routine comments and messages during scheduled coverage and route customer inquiries to the right team member.
• Track performance, test ideas, and recommend improvements that support audience growth, estate-sale interest, and qualified inquiries.
• Keep footage and project files organized, prepare for shoots, and check details and permissions before publishing.

Requirements

• A portfolio showing that you can film, edit, write, and create engaging social content. Experience with business or creator accounts is preferred.
• Strong short-form video skills and confidence using a phone or camera, microphones, and basic lighting.
• Clear writing and the ability to capture a founder’s voice while keeping company content professional and useful.
• An eye for interesting stories and the initiative to bring ideas without waiting for every assignment.
• Organization, reliable follow-through, attention to detail, and an ability to take feedback and improve.
• Professional judgment when working in clients’ homes and around families navigating important life changes.
• Ability to work in person, travel to local sale locations, and cover occasional weekends.
• Experience with founder brands, local businesses, real estate, antiques, resale, or educational content is helpful. A strong portfolio matters more to us than a particular degree.
