Job Description

Responsibilities

  • The Senior Manager, Marketing and Strategic Communications is responsible for developing, leading, and managing all brand, marketing and strategic communications activities for Coast Mental Health Foundation (CMHF), the fundraising arm of Coast Mental Health.
  • The Senior Manager leads the Foundation’s marketing and communications function, supports staff and oversees consultants, and works closely with Coast Foundation (Coast Mental Health), Coast Social Enterprises, and key funders to foster a unified, coherent brand and build mutually beneficial relationships.
  • Reports to the Senior Director, Fund Development, Coast Mental Health Foundation.
  • Strategic Communications and Engagement
  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing and communication strategies to support organizational goals, while refining and adapting as the organization and context evolve.
  • Actively contribute to CMHF’s fund development strategy, recommending appropriate marketing and communications budget to support activities.
  • Manage campaign timelines, assets, and approvals across all channels – digital, print, email, social and in-venue.
  • Lead the implementation of a comprehensive brand campaign, including the day-to-day management of external agencies, liaison with stakeholders and roll-out of the final assets, including the development of a new Foundation micro-site.
  • Work directly within the tools: build emails, schedule posts, update the website, and pull analytics.
  • Collaborate with Coast Mental Health to ensure a consistent narrative and brand strategy.

Requirements

  • 7 years’ progressively responsible experience in strategic communications, marketing, and/or digital marketing.
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in journalism, communications, marketing and/or public relations, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience running integrated, multi-channel campaigns from start to finish.
  • Experience executing campaigns tied to major milestones (openings, rebrands, capital campaigns) is an advantage.
  • Experience in non-profit sector, specifically in fundraising marketing, is a strong asset.
