Job Description

Drive strategic product marketing for BlackLine’s ERP/Analytics portfolio and lead cross-functional GTM across Product, Sales, and Executive Leadership.

  • Partner deeply with Product Management to shape product strategy, requirements, and roadmap priorities through market insight, customer validation, and competitive intelligence.
  • Act as a strategic sounding board for new product concepts, platform investments, and innovation themes.
  • Ensure product decisions are grounded in ICP needs, buyer personas, industry trends, and differentiated market opportunities.
  • Own global product positioning, messaging frameworks, naming hierarchies, and value propositions across BlackLine’s portfolio.
  • Elevate BlackLine’s platform and AI-driven narrative with clarity, consistency, and differentiation.
  • Translate complex technical capabilities into clear, outcome-driven stories for multiple buyer audiences.
  • Lead ongoing GTM activation beyond launch—sales plays, solution narratives, customer stories, and expansion messaging.
  • Partner closely with Competitive Intelligence leader to strengthen and operationalize competitive intelligence as a core strategic capability.
  • Ensure product marketers develop deep technical, product, and competitive expertise to increase credibility across Product, Sales, and Executive Leadership.
  • Use data-driven insights to inform positioning, sales strategy, and investment priorities.
