Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of prioritized initiatives/product launch/project by effectively communicating vision and macro direction to all cross-functional areas within Marketing and Merchandising. Identify and formulate cross functional marketing subject matter expert teams that can best support micro strategy development and execution. Set goals and expectations across the business maximized the performance of the macro strategy and micro planning and execution. 35%
  • Communicate and partner with Merchandising and Marketing to develop priority and focus on merchandising and marketing strategy for the organization for Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s Brands as well as appropriate national brands. Lead marketing in the development of strategic priorities in collaboration with Bass Pro Shop’s Merchandising and Marketing leadership and national branded partners to ensure focus and alignment, develop a premium customer experience, and address any product or customer gaps. Accountable for developing macro-objectives, goals and guidelines that best support each initiative/product launch/project. 25%
  • Develop and manage budget for respective area. Responsible for partnering with enterprise analytical resources to understand, analyze and calculate Return on Investment of marketing programs for assigned merchandise categories. Develop consistent measurable(s) to evaluate and communicate strategy performance. Proactively share information to develop a new or modified strategic approach in response to ROI, analytics and key learnings. 20%
  • Identify and understand sales, margin and inventory trends and work with Merchants to identify and agree upon marketing events which are responsive to changing market conditions.These events will be developed in coordination with Marketing to be in concert with existing marketing strategies.15%
  • Identify opportunities to integrate cross-functional subject matter experts within Merchandising and Marketing to analyze information, data, customer experiences, and learnings that assist in influencing and developing future opportunities. Integrate analytical resources and information early in product development lifecycle to assist leading innovation ideas and developing customer facing strategies. 5%

Requirements

  • Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor’s Degree
  • Preferred Degree: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing
  • Certificate(s) or License(s):
  • Experience: 4-6 years of experience in Marketing
  • Knowledge, Skills and Ability:
  • Merchandising and Marketing experience
  • Passion for the outdoors
  • Strong communications (both verbal and written) skills required
  • Must be a self-starter who takes responsibility and ownership of projects
  • Strong organizational and time management skills are required
