Job Description

Own end-to-end participant communications campaigns, from planning Monthly Statements to analyzing outcomes and driving improvements for next cycles.

  • Own the end-to-end planning, execution, and measurement of recurring participant campaigns, including Monthly Statements (every month, naturally)
  • Plan and execute annual campaigns such as Redemption, Activation, and other strategic program moments throughout the year
  • Write clear, compelling briefs that give designers and stakeholders everything they need to execute well
  • Manage campaign calendars, timelines, and deliverables across multiple programs without dropping balls or missing deadlines
  • Bring fresh ideas to the table: test new formats, messaging angles, send times, and segmentation approaches rather than reusing last year’s playbook
  • Troubleshoot and resolve email campaign issues, including formatting, rendering inconsistencies, and making basic HTML adjustments as needed
  • Pull, analyze, and report on campaign performance using engagement, redemption, and ROI metrics
  • Translate data into recommendations; what should we do more of, less of, or differently next cycle?
  • Use pivot tables, data merges, and reporting tools to manage participant lists and personalize campaigns at scale
  • Build a feedback loop so each campaign gets sharper than the last
  • Own Extu’s annual Voice of the Participant (VoP) survey end-to-end, including design, distribution, analysis, and reporting
  • Synthesize survey results into actionable audience profiles, segmentation strategies, and recommendations
  • Maintain a working knowledge of participant demographics, preferences, and motivations across programs
  • Apply audience insights to monthly statements, annual campaigns, and ad-hoc comms—this is continuous work, not a once-a-year project
  • Surface insights to Program Managers, Operations, and Leadership to inform broader decisions
  • Take ownership of ad-hoc participant communications that currently sit with Program Managers, freeing them up to focus on program operations
  • Partner with Program Managers to understand each program’s nuances, audience, and communication needs
  • Ensure all communications adhere to client brand standards and Extu’s quality bar
  • Partner with designers to bring campaigns to life visually, you’ll brief and direct, not execute the design yourself
  • Work closely with the Marketing Solutions team, Program Managers, and Operations leadership to align on priorities and surface insights
  • 1–4 years of experience in marketing, communications, campaign management, or a closely related field
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to adapt tone for different audiences and brands
  • Proficiency in email development (HTML/CSS) and comfort troubleshooting email rendering, formatting, or delivery issues across platforms (e.g., Outlook, Gmail, mobile)
  • Comfortable working with data—pivot tables, basic reporting, and translating numbers into a story you can defend
  • Curiosity about audiences—you want to understand the people you’re marketing to, not just send them messages
  • Proven ability to manage multiple deliverables and deadlines simultaneously without close supervision
  • Strong attention to detail, especially around brand standards, data accuracy, and proofreading
  • Self-starter mindset—you bring solutions, not just problems, and you don’t wait to be told what to do
  • Open to feedback and constructive criticism; you understand that good work gets better when it’s pressure-tested
  • Startup mentality—you’re willing to help peers, learn new skills, and do what it takes to get the job done right
  • Travel requirement – infrequent
  • Ability to lift 10 pounds (laptop for work)
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 90% of the time at a computer.
  • Move about inside the office for meetings and to access office equipment
  • Communicate verbally with clients through phone and call center software.
  • Experience in B2B marketing, loyalty/incentive marketing, or channel marketing
  • Familiarity with marketing automation platforms, ESPs, or campaign management tools
  • Experience writing creative briefs or working alongside in-house or agency designers
  • Robust Health Coverage – Comprehensive and generously funded, because your well-being matters.
  • Peace of Mind, On Us – Complimentary short-term disability and term life insurance, with options to boost coverage if you’d like.
