Job Summary

Own and elevate marketing and communications efforts by shaping storytelling, digital experiences, and community engagement to convert supporters into lifelong advocates.

  • Lead storytelling across emails, websites, social media, and campaigns to move people to act.
  • Guide ongoing website improvements, SEO, and user journeys to recruit volunteers and fundraise.
  • Build campaigns and partnerships that deepen engagement and grow recurring support.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Inspire Action Through Storytelling
  • Create compelling stories that help people connect emotionally with our mission.
  • Write compelling content for emails, newsletters, websites, social media, print materials, fundraising campaigns, and other organizational communications.
  • Translate complex humanitarian work into clear, hopeful, and inspiring communications.
  • Create and edit short videos and other multimedia content that brings our mission to life.
  • Ensure every communication answers one simple question: "How can I help?"
  • Grow Community Engagement
  • Develop campaigns that inspire people to volunteer, donate, attend events, advocate, or become recurring supporters.
  • Partner with other staff to promote volunteer and mission experiences.
  • Create communication journeys that deepen relationships over time.

Preferred

  • Experience in nonprofit marketing, communications, fundraising, or community engagement.
  • Strong copywriting and storytelling skills.
  • Experience managing websites and email marketing platforms.
  • Knowledge of SEO, Google Analytics, and digital advertising.
  • Experience managing social media strategy.
  • Experience creating marketing assets using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Curiosity about AI tools and emerging marketing technologies.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
