Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic programs and promotional campaigns in collaboration with Sales and Channel Teams to increase USG’s market share among commercial and residential gypsum and ceiling customers.
  • Drive successful field-level activation for new product launches, ensuring contractors are equipped with clear value propositions, key differentiators, and installation guidance.
  • Champion customer engagement and loyalty through dynamic field marketing initiatives; including jobsite events, incentives, hands-on product demonstrations, local trade shows, and community-based partnerships.
  • Localize and adapt national marketing campaigns to ensure maximum relevance for both residential and commercial market segments, catering to homebuilders, remodelers, general contractors, project managers, and specialty installers.
  • Serve as the primary field liaison between Marketing, Sales, Product Management, and customers, ensuring seamless execution of campaigns, trainings, and contractor-focused initiatives.
  • Develop, launch, and assess merchandising and educational programs with key distributor partners, improving contractor support both on the jobsite and in-branch.
  • Monitor, measure, and report program performance, capturing actionable field insights and recommendations to continuously optimize USG’s contractor marketing strategy.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, sales or customer service, ideally within the building materials, construction products, or closely related B2B environment.
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating closely with sales teams, distributor partners, and product management to deliver go-to-market programs and support new product introductions.
  • Manage budgets and optimizing spend to achieve campaign results and increased market share.
  • Ability to translate national campaigns into effective local initiatives and to generate insights from the field to influence strategy.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills, with an ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel regionally and occasionally nationally, as required (estimated 30-40%).

Preferred

  • Hands-on experience organizing events, jobsite demonstrations, training clinics, or contractor engagement programs is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of gypsum, ceiling systems, or other construction products and industry channels (contractors, distributors, installers) strongly preferred.

Benefits

  • USG employees enjoy a number of benefit options for themselves and their families. These include two medical insurance options, as well as vision and dental coverage. These coverage options are offered on the first day of employment with no waiting period.
  • Additionally, USG employees enjoy both a 401(k) Investment Plan with company match and a pension plan. Beyond these main features, employees may also choose from a number of additional programs like life insurance, accident insurance, legal insurance, even pet insurance, just to name a few.
