Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Create and edit content, monitor, manage and update the Chamber’s social media outlets (Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, others), including developing strategies to continually grow engagement through these outlets.
  • Edit, write press releases, and draft messaging on behalf of Chamber for publications.
  • Collect content from COCH departments to edit and publish the Chamber’s weekly e-newsletters and reports.
  • Produce collateral material for Chamber events and member marketing, and other material, as needed.
  • Coordinate Voice of Business podcast from securing speakers, coordinating logistics of podcast recordings, creating summary of podcast description, and sharing across Chamber communication channels.
  • Edit podcast audio, video and sharing across Chamber communication channels.
  • Assist all departments with their social media needs.
  • Monitor current events and news sources for relevant stories and media opportunities.
  • Provide general support with Chamber events, programs and initiatives when needed.
  • Maintain strong working knowledge of all Chamber products, services, and programs.

Requirements

  • Associates or college degree required, emphasis in Communications, Journalism/PR/Marketing/Digital Media a plus.
  • 1-3 years of experience in media relations, marketing, or communications.
  • Proficient in Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Publisher/Adobe InDesign/Canva/Social Media Platforms, and website content management.
