Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Content Management and Scheduling
  • With the guidance and under the direction of the department head, create, manage, and continuously update comprehensive digital editorial calendars for both the Cantor and the Anderson. This includes maintaining evolving brand standards through the institutions’ shared and distinctive voices.
  • Create editorial calendars that include, at minimum, the following: website homepage updates; organic and paid social media posts; e-newsletters; other forms of digital marketing; and our member magazine. Key editorial pillars include awareness of and engagement with both museums through promotion of collections, exhibitions, academic programs, and public programs to the campus community and the public.
  • Ensure that high quality images, video, and written background information are secured from a variety of sources for content creation purposes, and stored/organized in a manner that they can be easily accessed by marketing and communications colleagues.
  • Content Creation and Distribution
  • In collaboration with supervisor and other colleagues across a variety of departments (curatorial, academic and public programs, development, etc.), agree upon visual and copy content to use for specific digital engagement endeavors that will help unify and create cohesion across all audience journey touchpoints
  • Utilize brand standards when determining imagery, copy, and tone
  • Collaborate with graphic designer and/or videographer as appropriate to develop deliverables
  • Assemble, create, and edit assets (copy, visuals, and video) into final creative deliverables and post/distribute those deliverables via a variety of channels–social media platforms, e-news, website, member magazine, traditional and digital advertising, print collateral, and more
  • Create “social media toolkits” for staff and other museum ambassadors, facilitating turnkey ambassadorship.
