Job Summary

Own and drive ICS’s external communications strategy across calendars, multi-channel content, donor outreach, and fundraising events, while collaborating with program teams to showcase participant impact.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain an annual communications calendar.
  • Create engaging written and visual content for newsletters, email communications, social media, website updates, and organizational materials.
  • Design professional-quality digital and print materials using Canva, including social media graphics, flyers, posters, newsletters, presentations, event materials, and fundraising materials.
  • Capture and share participant stories, program highlights, photographs, and impact stories that demonstrate the value of ICS programs.
  • Collaborate with program staff to identify opportunities to highlight participant experiences, outcomes, and community impact.
  • Maintain consistent branding and messaging across all ICS communications.
  • Ensure the ICS website and public-facing materials remain accurate and current.
  • Support the planning and implementation of fundraising campaigns, including the annual appeal.
  • Develop donor communications, campaign materials, and fundraising updates.
  • Coordinate donor acknowledgements and ensure timely communication with supporters.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, nonprofit management, public relations, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in communications, nonprofit development, fundraising support, or a related role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency using Canva to create professional-quality digital and print materials.
  • Experience managing social media platforms and email communications.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Commitment to the mission of Irish Community Services and the communities it serves.
  • Ability to work evening and weekend hours intermittently.
