Associate Director - Creative Strategy

Responsibilities

• Own creative strategy and performance across a portfolio of approximately four client accounts.
• Build structured creative testing roadmaps rooted in performance data, consumer psychology, competitive research, and platform trends.
• Translate performance insights into actionable concepts, messaging strategies, and scalable creative learnings.
• Lead client strategy, roadmap discussions, brainstorms, and key feedback conversations.
• Directly manage and mentor 1–2 Creative Strategists across strategy, execution, client communication, and professional development.
• Maintain a high standard across creative briefs, research, messaging, strategic recommendations, and client deliverables.
• Identify new creative opportunities, emerging trends, AI capabilities, and testing methodologies.
• Share learnings and best practices across the broader Creative Strategy team.
• Own and contribute to department initiatives, including strategic frameworks, SOPs, training, onboarding, and process improvements.
• Partner closely with Paid Media, Design, and leadership to ensure creative strategy translates into measurable client performance.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in creative strategy, performance creative, growth marketing, or a related field, preferably in an agency environment.
• Strong understanding of performance creative across Meta, TikTok, and other paid social platforms.
• Proven ability to use performance data, consumer research, and creative insights to develop effective testing strategies.
• Strong client-facing presence and ability to communicate strategic recommendations clearly.
• Experience mentoring, managing, or developing other strategists.
• Deep understanding of messaging, consumer psychology, creative testing, and DTC/eCommerce marketing.
• High ownership mindset with strong strategic judgment, attention to detail, and proactive problem-solving skills.
• Passion for staying ahead of creative trends, platform changes, emerging technology, and AI.
• Comfortable balancing hands-on client work with people leadership and broader department initiatives.
