Own the Public Sector market strategy and storytelling, aligning PMM, Sales, and Marketing to win procurement-driven deals while turning complex security concepts into clear, sector-specific narratives.

  • Content & storytelling: translate tech to clear public sector narratives for demand gen and enablement.
  • Sales enablement and evangelism: train sales, speak at events, influence product messaging.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Go-to-Market Strategy: Drive and support the go-to-market strategy for Okta's solutions in the Public Sector.
  • Messaging and Positioning: Develop clear, compelling, and differentiated messaging and positioning for the Public Sector audience.
  • Content Creation: Create a variety of content, including presentations, datasheets, whitepapers, blog posts, and website copy, to support demand generation and sales enablement.
  • Sales Enablement: Develop and deliver training and tools to enable our sales team to effectively sell to the Public Sector.
  • Market Intelligence: Be an expert on the Public Sector market, including customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner closely with Product Management, Sales, and the broader Marketing team to ensure alignment and success.
  • Evangelism: Act as a spokesperson for Okta in the Public Sector, including at industry events and with press and analysts.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of product marketing experience, preferably in enterprise software, SaaS, or cybersecurity
  • Deep understanding of the Public Sector market, including procurement processes, compliance requirements (e.g., FedRAMP, DoD), and key government initiatives
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful go-to-market strategies
  • Exceptional storytelling and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear and compelling narratives
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and work effectively across teams
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field; MBA is a plus
