Job Description

Responsibilities

Develop and implement an annual marketing and communications plan aligned with the YMCA’s strategic priorities, with storytelling at its core.
Serve as the primary Association spokesperson for media inquiries, community relations, and crisis communications.
Ensure all marketing communications are coordinated, mission-driven, and effective in reaching target audiences.
Lead brand strategy and consistency across all programs, services, and communication channels.
Proactively engage media through storytelling, including feature stories, Op/Ed pieces, PSAs, and human-interest content.
Serve as the marketing/PR liaison to internal teams, branches, and community partners.
Create and execute integrated campaigns for membership, programs, and fundraising initiatives.
Utilize demographic and engagement data to inform marketing strategies and program promotion.
Support pricing strategy communication and positioning.
Develop presentations and materials for board, community, and fundraising efforts.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, media, or related Field Preferred (or Equivalent Experience).
Demonstrated experience in video production, editing, and digital storytelling required.
Strong understanding of social media, content strategy, and digital marketing trends.
Experience with web analytics, social listening tools, and content management systems.
Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and proofreading skills.
Creative, innovative, and collaborative mindset.
Knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Ads, and digital advertising platforms.
Ability to connect with and represent diverse community audiences.
Experience leading organizational change and communication strategies.
