Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Write and refine content for core website pages (e.g., Home, About, Programs, Services, Careers)
  • Edit and polish secondary pages (e.g., Leadership, Contact, FAQs)
  • Align content with brand voice, tone, and messaging direction
  • Simplify complex information into clear, user-friendly language
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather input and feedback
  • Participate in a kickoff call and stakeholder interviews
  • Complete at least 2 rounds of revisions per page

Requirements

  • Proven experience writing website copy (portfolio or writing samples required)
  • Exceptional writing skills with a focus on clarity, tone, and precision
  • Strong editing skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interviewing skills
  • Ability to manage feedback and deliver high-quality work within a defined timeline
  • Experience writing for mission-driven organizations (nonprofits, healthcare, education, or human services) preferred

Preferred

  • Experience supporting a rebrand or website redesign
  • Experience with accessible and inclusive writing practices
  • Familiarity with SEO and web content structure
