Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Own the look and feel of safarisun.com—fix CSS issues, maintain visual consistency, and improve UX across product pages, landing pages, and company stores.
  • Build and optimize product pages that convert—compelling layouts, clean imagery, proper structured data.
  • Manage our Google Merchant Center feed: troubleshoot disapprovals, optimize product data, keep listings current.
  • Monitor GA4 dashboards and translate data into actionable insights—what’s working, what’s broken, what to test next.
  • Handle on-page SEO: meta tags, headings, internal linking, image optimization, schema markup.
  • Implement AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) best practices so our content surfaces in AI-powered search results.
  • Maintain WordPress and WooCommerce: plugin updates, security patches, performance monitoring, staging/production deployments.
  • Coordinate with our hosting + Cloudflare infrastructure—you don’t need to be a sysadmin, but you should be comfortable reading logs and diagnosing 403s or caching issues.
  • Support company store deployments as we migrate from Inksoft to WooCommerce.
  • Collaborate with the art team on lifestyle product imagery and marketing creative.

Requirements

  • 2+ years working hands-on with WordPress and WooCommerce in a production environment.
  • Strong CSS/HTML skills—you can look at a design and build it without a framework holding your hand.
  • A genuine eye for design and product presentation. You notice when something is 2px off.
  • Working knowledge of Google Merchant Center, GA4, and Google Search Console.
  • Familiarity with SEO fundamentals and emerging AEO/AI search optimization.
  • Comfort with basic PHP (enough to customize WooCommerce templates, not build plugins from scratch).
  • Experience with Git for version control.

Preferred

  • Experience with e-commerce in decorated apparel, promotional products, or manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with structured data / schema.org markup.
  • Experience with Cloudflare configuration and caching.
  • Comfort using AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, etc.) to accelerate your work.
  • Basic understanding of Meta/Google ad platforms for coordination with paid campaigns.
