Job Summary

Own and execute a data-driven growth program to acquire profitable customers across multiple channels, aligning marketing with sales and optimizing the full funnel.

  • Own strategy and execution across paid search, paid social, and other channels.
  • Translate marketing activity into business insight through reliable reporting and attribution.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Profitable customer acquisition. Develop and execute a performance-driven growth strategy across paid search, paid social, and other acquisition channels. Allocate investment based on lead quality, customer acquisition costs, conversion, marketing ROI and actual sales.
  • Hands-on analysis and decision-making. Personally examine campaign, customer, and sales data to identify what is working, where performance is falling short, and what should change. Build reliable reporting and attribution that translate marketing activity into business insight.
  • Creative and promotional performance. Direct messaging, offers, creative briefs and testing. Bring a commercially informed point of view on how targeting, channel selection, customer needs and creative work together to drive response.
  • The digital customer journey. Improve landing pages, website performance, conversion paths, SEO and inbound marketing. Connect advertising, content and customer-facing experiences so the next step is clear and measurable.
  • Marketing and Sales alignment. Partner closely with Sales leadership to improve lead quality, funnel conversion, and revenue performance. Oversee marketing’s contribution to CRM, automation, nurture, customer reactivation and repeat-purchase opportunities.
  • People, agencies and execution. Give internal resources, agencies and vendors clear direction, priorities and performance expectations. Build internal capabilities over time while ensuring the broader marketing function, including brand, content and sales-support materials, supports the company’s growth goals.

Requirements

  • A proven performance-marketing foundation. You have 10+ years of marketing leadership experience in performance-driven, lead-generation environments, with measurable results from direct-response and customer-acquisition programs.
  • Personal analytical fluency. You are comfortable working directly with data, not simply reviewing a dashboard prepared by someone else. You can use Google Analytics, Excel, and reporting tools such as Looker or comparable platforms to diagnose performance and guide decisions.
  • Creative and commercial judgment. You understand that strong acquisition requires more than media buying. You can evaluate an offer, challenge a creative brief, identify a weak conversion path, and explain how you would test an improvement.
  • A player-coach approach. You can move between strategy and execution, lead people and partners, and remain close enough to the work to make informed decisions.
  • The breadth to lead marketing. Your capabilities extend beyond one channel. You understand how acquisition, creative, customer experience, CRM, content, brand, and Sales partnership contribute to profitable growth.
  • Confident, collaborative leadership. You communicate clearly, welcome informed challenge, and can constructively advocate for a data-supported recommendation with senior leadership.
  • Experience in direct-to-consumer, performance-driven retail, home services, automotive, equipment, manufacturing or related businesses is particularly relevant.
  • Direct-to-small-business acquisition experience may also translate well where marketing connects directly to customer purchase decisions.

Preferred

  • Direct-to-small-business acquisition experience may also translate well where marketing connects directly to customer purchase decisions.
  • We welcome established marketing executives and accomplished Heads of Growth, Heads of Performance Marketing, or Senior Directors whose experience demonstrates readiness to lead the full function.
