Job Summary

Own the on-site operations coordination for large stadium events, focusing on staging, scheduling, vendor and sponsor coordination, and marketing plan execution.

  • Own Event Execution: coordinate stage, sound, entertainment, vendors, and on-site activations for stadium events.
  • Operations & Logistics: manage inventory, supplies, and venue-management systems to support concerts and games.
  • Marketing & Partnerships: assist with marketing plan implementation and partner communications for events.

Job Description

  • Stadium Operations: assist with event management functions and operational preparations for stadium events such as concerts, Steelers games, and University of Pittsburgh football games.
  • Inventory & Resources: manage inventory, supplies, developing resources, and other operational tasks as assigned by Stadium Operations Department.
  • Venue Management Systems: learn and apply knowledge related to venue management systems and assist with planning and execution of stadium events.
  • Communication: effectively correspond and communicate with game day team members, internal staff, and partners.
  • Entertainment Operations: assist the Entertainment Manager with events including Pittsburgh Steelers games, festivals, concerts, and more.
  • Event Setup: assist with general setup and operation of both public and private events.
  • Event Coordination: coordinate all aspects of events including stage and sound production, entertainment scheduling and implementation, time schedules, activities, media buying, on-site activations, vendors, sponsors, on-site displays, on-site broadcasts, and more.
  • Marketing Implementation: assist in implementing the marketing plans for these events.
  • Purchasing & Operations: assist with purchasing of event supplies, organizing event operations, directing and assisting talent, participants, sponsors, vendors, media and more.
  • Internship Timing: mid-August to mid-January.
  • Academic Credit & Housing: eligible to receive academic credit and provide housing in the Pittsburgh area.
  • Software Proficiency: Microsoft Office proficiency is a must.
  • Availability: 4-5 days a week 10am-5pm plus select nights, weekends, and/or holidays for events.
  • Experience & Skills: experience in a fast-paced, guest-focused operations environment and effective communication for executing large-scale sports and events.
