Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Support the Social Media Lead in daily management of client social media channels, including scheduling and publishing content using approved tools
  • Research, write, and edit engaging social media copy aligned with brand voice, plain language standards, and Section 508 accessibility requirements
  • Monitor social media channels and compile social listening data on conversations, trends, and sentiment analysis
  • Assist in covering social media events such as Twitter chats, Facebook Live sessions, and other real-time engagement opportunities
  • Create and schedule content using UTM links and platform scheduling tools to support campaign tracking and analytics
  • Upload and caption videos to client YouTube channels and other video platforms as needed
  • Collaborate with creative team members to develop graphics and templates for social media posts
  • Track and analyze performance metrics, supporting the preparation of monthly reports and strategic recommendations
  • Provide backup support for social media posting and community management as required
  • Assist in developing content calendars and campaign materials for national observances and key events

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience managing social media platforms and developing content
  • 3+ years of experience writing and editing social media content across various platforms
  • U.S. citizenship is required by the contract
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field (preferred)
  • 2+ years of experience working at an advertising or consulting agency (preferred)
  • Experience working in highly regulated industries or with government agencies
  • Experience developing public health plans and strategies (preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate creative, data analytics, and client services teams
  • Proficiency in developing social media and communication plans and presenting to leadership
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field (preferred)
  • 2+ years of experience working at an advertising or consulting agency (preferred)
  • Experience developing public health plans and strategies (preferred)
