Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Ideate content across formats and hooks, and maintain a working pipeline of concepts.
  • Manage an editor and designer: brief, review, and hold turnaround on deliverables.
  • Own publishing, including scheduling in Buffer and the final check before anything goes live.
  • Own the creation of new content beats to our growing content strategy
  • Hold accountability for growth, output cadence, and account health on each platform, including any we add later.
  • Own the ManyChat automations that route viewers into our funnel, and the leads they produce from first touch through handoff.
  • Able to run paid campaigns in platform ad managers: budget allocation, audience targeting, and conversion tracking.
  • Decide when to put spend behind organic content and when to build a dedicated campaign.
  • Respond to DMs and comments within 24 hours.
  • Work with the program team to educate premeds on our various platforms.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field.
  • 0 to 3 years managing social media for a brand, organization, or creator, with hands-on production work on TikTok and Instagram.
  • If relevant, include a portfolio of published short-form work submitted with your application, including growth and performance numbers for an account you ran.
  • Experience running paid social campaigns, including budget management and conversion tracking.
  • Working knowledge of ManyChat and Buffer, or close equivalents you can switch from quickly.
  • Able to use basic design platforms such as Canva.
  • Able to read platform analytics and turn them into specific content changes.
  • Experience directing a video editor or contractor.
  • Strong organizational skills managing a content calendar and a DM inbox at volume.

Preferred

  • Familiarity with the premed or higher-education audience.
  • Basic editing ability for fast turnarounds.
