Position Summary

The Social Media Manager will play a vital role in supporting The Restaurant People’s portfolio of restaurant, nightlife, and hospitality brands through content creation, social media strategy, and digital storytelling.

We are seeking a highly creative, organized, and proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality and nightlife environment. The ideal candidate brings experience in content creation, social media strategy, event-focused storytelling, and real-time content execution. This role requires someone who can confidently capture content on-site, keep pace with weekly programming and activations, and execute campaigns with strong organization, creativity, and consistency.

This position requires regular on-site presence for photoshoots, event coverage, nightlife programming, and content generation.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage social media content calendars across multiple brands, ensuring campaigns and posts are scheduled a minimum of two weeks in advance while maintaining flexibility for trend-based and real-time opportunities.
• Collaborate with the Director of Marketing and leadership team to develop monthly campaign themes, seasonal initiatives, nightlife programming pushes, and social-first marketing concepts.
• Translate each brand’s voice, atmosphere, and guest experience into compelling social-first content.
• Plan content production in alignment with the marketing calendar, ensuring activations, campaigns, and seasonal promotions are supported with intentional, pre-planned content.
• Develop shot lists and creative briefs for photoshoots and content days, including visual references, inspiration, and key concepts to capture.
• Identify opportunities to differentiate brand positioning within the market.
• Stay informed on local competitors, emerging venues, hospitality trends, and social media trends throughout the South Florida market.
• Brainstorm and propose unique activations, special offers, and social-first concepts that align with each brand’s identity and enhance the guest experience.
• Collaborate with marketing leadership to develop ideas designed to drive reservations, guest engagement, foot traffic, and revenue.
• Identify opportunities to turn everyday moments — menu launches, happy hour programming, DJ nights, cocktails, and special events — into marketable experiences that perform strongly on social media.
• Manage daily social engagement, including responding to comments, direct messages, story replies, and guest inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• Monitor tagged posts and stories, resharing appropriate user-generated content while hiding or removing off-brand or inappropriate content when necessary.
• Engage proactively with relevant community pages, nightlife accounts, creators, and hospitality brands when appropriate.
• Maintain brand standards and professionalism while working within high-volume nightlife and event environments.
• Write engaging, on-brand captions that are headline-forward, confident, and aligned with each venue’s tone and personality.
• Apply proper hashtags, geotags, account tags, and formatting while maintaining polished grammar, punctuation, and brand consistency.
• Schedule and publish content across platforms at optimal times based on engagement trends and campaign goals.
• Maintain consistency in voice, storytelling, and visual presentation across all social platforms.
• Support influencer and creator initiatives by coordinating communicating requests and assisting with hosted visits and comped experiences with marketing leadership.
• Maintain awareness of local influencers, creators, nightlife personalities, and hospitality trendsetters to help keep brands culturally relevant and socially connected.
• Assist in identifying partnership opportunities that align with brand positioning and target audiences.
• Monitor content performance and campaign effectiveness using analytics and social media reporting tools.
• Use performance insights to recommend improvements in content strategy, posting cadence, creative direction, and trend integration.
• Track engagement trends and identify opportunities for continued audience growth and increased brand visibility.

Content Creation + Production

• Capture photo and video content on-site, including ambiance, cocktails, dining moments, entertainment, behind-the-scenes footage, nightlife energy, and guest experiences.
• Produce and edit high-performing content for:
• Instagram Reels
• TikTok
• Instagram Stories
• Static posts and carousels
• Emerging social platforms
• Maintain a high level of attention to detail in all content captured, ensuring backgrounds, lighting, framing, and visual presentation align with brand standards.
• Ensure all guest-facing moments, cocktails, food presentations, table setups, and environments are camera-ready and visually aligned with brand identity before capturing content.
• Confidently direct talent, guests, staff, and influencers on camera to capture engaging, high-quality content.
• Provide quick creative direction in fast-paced nightlife and event environments.
• Adapt creatively during photoshoots and content captures when conditions shift (weather, lighting, timing, crowd levels, etc.) while still delivering strong on-brand content.
• Stay current on trending audio, video formats, transitions, storytelling styles, and platform trends, bringing fresh ideas and creative concepts consistently.
• Ensure all content maintains quality standards and reflects each brand’s positioning and aesthetic.
• Collaborate with graphic designers, photographers, videographers, and marketing partners to ensure cohesive and elevated visual execution.
• Direct and participate in photoshoots, video productions, campaign shoots, and live event coverage.
• Attend key events, activations, launches, nightlife programming, and high-volume service nights to capture content in real time.
• Create and publish live Instagram Stories and social content during events to capture energy, momentum, and guest experiences.
• Provide real-time social coverage during DJ nights, influencer visits, special events, and promotional activations.
• Maintain flexibility to work nights and weekends as needed for events, photoshoots, launches, and marketing activations.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience managing social media for hospitality, restaurant, nightlife, or lifestyle brands, preferably across multiple concepts.
• Strong experience in mobile content creation and short-form video editing.
• Proficiency with social media editing tools and platforms including CapCut, InShot, Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar software.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro preferred.
• Experience using social media management and scheduling platforms.
• Strong understanding of social media performance drivers including hooks, storytelling formats, trend cycles, engagement strategies, and nightlife content pacing.
• Exceptional organization, communication, and time management skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to confidently work alongside managers, staff, entertainers, influencers, guests, and leadership teams.
• Ability to multitask, adapt quickly, and thrive in fast-paced hospitality and nightlife environments.
• Flexible schedule with availability for nights, weekends, and event coverage as needed.
