Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive social media marketing plan that aligns with the agency’s overall communications strategy.
  • Design and produce engaging written and graphic content to grow the agency’s presence across all social media channels.
  • Partner with agency staff and various divisions to brainstorm campaign ideas and provide independent social media support.
  • Fact-check all posts with subject-matter experts to ensure technical accuracy and maintain brand consistency.
  • Monitor social media trends and analyze performance metrics to adjust strategies and meet agency goals.
  • Manage social media engagement under the direction of the Communications Director and in tandem with the broader communications team.
  • Assists in the maintenance of internet and intranet websites.
  • Advises and consults with the communications director and other communication team members with all necessary information pertaining to activities, outreach efforts.
  • Attends and participates in events (e.g., state fair).

Requirements

  • Completion of undergraduate core program in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, Digital Media, or related field.
  • 2 years of experience in social media management, digital marketing, or content production.
  • Experience developing and executing data-driven social media strategies that align with broader organizational goals.
  • Demonstrated success in creating engaging graphic and video content across multiple platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.).
  • Proficiency in creative software such as Adobe, Canva, InDesign, and web content management.
  • Hands-on experience with social media scheduling tools like Meltwater and Hootsuite.

Preferred

  • Extensive photo and video creation and editing experience is a plus.
