Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Leverage existing relationships while developing and managing key strategic partners within retail and wholesale customers.
  • Create and execute seasonal marketing and merchandising programs that drive sales and category growth.
  • Analyze account performance using retail and category management data from platforms such as Circana, Nielsen, SPINS, and 84.51.
  • Develop customized recommendations, merchandising strategies, and promotional plans based on retail insights and market opportunities.
  • Negotiate and manage promotional programs, including: In-store sampling; Display contests; Digital coupons; Loyalty programs; E-commerce initiatives; Local events; Other volume-driving promotions
  • Collaborate with sales organizations and internal marketing teams to optimize program effectiveness and retailer engagement.
  • Manage assigned budgets and ensure compliance with organization funding guidelines.
  • Travel extensively throughout your assigned territory and North America to support customer relationships and marketing programs.
  • Attend trade shows, conventions, industry meetings, and consumer-facing events.
  • Participate in retail activations and promotional events, including sampling and retailer support activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or a minimum of three years of food industry experience.
  • Experience in retail marketing, shopper marketing, category management, or produce merchandising.
  • Knowledge of retail produce buying practices and operations.
  • Existing US grocery retail and wholesale relationships
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively from a home office environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to travel regularly and manage a flexible schedule.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Preferred

  • Experience using retail data and analytics platforms such as Circana, Nielsen, SPINS, and 84.51.
  • Strong understanding of data-driven marketing and promotional strategy development.
  • Prior CPG Sales and Marketing experience a plus.
