Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic product marketing for Workday Build, with a focus on Workday Extend and emerging AI-powered platform capabilities.
  • Define messaging and positioning for custom app development, custom agents, agent-ready APIs, and open platform technologies.
  • Partner across product, developer relations, and GTM teams to bring these innovations to market and drive adoption of Workday as a platform for building, automating, and extending enterprise workflows.
  • Define and articulate Workday Build’s technical value for developers, architects, and IT decision-makers.
  • Develop messaging frameworks, narratives, and collateral that differentiate Build and track adoption and engagement metrics to measure impact.
  • Monitor competitors, emerging tools, and developer workflows to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Translate insights into personas, positioning, and strategic recommendations that inform roadmap and GTM decisions.
  • Create high-value technical content (demos, guides, blogs, etc.) that define Workday architecture, accelerate product adoption, and support Sales and Solutions teams in driving awareness for platform capabilities.
  • Lead cross-functional GTM programs for Workday Build tools, partnering with Workday AI, Product, Engineering, and Events teams to drive adoption at DevCon, Workday Rising & other tier 1 events
  • Track success via adoption, usage, and enablement effectiveness metrics.
  • Champion Workday Build tools at forums, conferences, webinars, and supporting analyst briefings including analyst survey responses.
  • Gather and surface customer and developer feedback to product and engineering teams.
  • Track engagement, advocacy, and adoption to continuously refine positioning and GTM strategies.

Requirements

  • 8–10 years of experience in technical or developer product marketing for tools, infrastructure, or platform products, with a proven track record of driving adoption and engagement.
  • Deep understanding of developer workflows, coding environments, and AI-assisted development, with credibility to engage engineers, architects, and technical decision-makers.
  • Experienced in leading complex, cross-functional launches and creating high-value content that resonates with developers and enterprise audiences, balancing strategic influence with tactical execution to drive platform adoption and business impact.
