Job Description

Description
The Senior Product Marketing Manager leads strategic product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market execution for high-tech clients, translating complex technologies into clear, field-ready, and compelling stories. This role owns customer segmentation and targeting, differentiated value propositions, and integrated launch and promotional strategies, working closely with marketing, engineering, sales, and partner teams. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in Microsoft licensing—preferably New Commerce (CSP and MCA-E) as well as legacy agreements—along with a deep understanding of Microsoft field roles and responsibilities. Success requires the ability to convert technical capabilities into audience-relevant content, manage content lifecycles from creation through publication, and deliver high-quality technical and marketing writing - including Bill of Materials (BoM) creation. This role combines strategic storytelling, fluency with AI/Copilot or similar tools, strong organizational skills, and a hands-on, inclusive, collaborative approach that drives measurable impact for clients.
This is a remote position; candidates must be based in Washington State or California. If the candidate is located in Washington State, attendance at company Town Hall events is required.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead product positioning, messaging, and value proposition development that clearly differentiates products and services in the market.
  • Gain deep insight into customer needs, buyer personas, current product usage, and untapped opportunities through research and cross-functional engagement.
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies, including partner and integrated marketing programs, product launches, promotions, and co-marketing programs.
  • Translate complex technical and AI-driven solutions into clear, compelling stories across decks, videos, websites, blogs, and social channels.
  • Own blogs and social content planning, including editorial calendars and coordination with internal, guest, and customer authors.
  • Provide product marketing programming, content, and onsite/virtual support for tier-one events (e.g., Inspire, Ignite, MVP Summit, CABs, industry events).
  • Communicate product value to sales/field teams, marketing, and partner teams through effective sales and field enablement materials, including pitch decks - serving as a liaison between marketing and product teams.
  • Create and maintain customer and field enablement content that supports communications, engagement, and adoption.
  • Maintain competitive intelligence and comparisons through self-led research and collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Proven ability to develop Microsoft Licensing product knowledge and messaging, positioning, and go-to-market strategies for complex or technical products; translating exceptional storytelling and writing skills, with experience creating content across decks, web, blogs, social, video, and sales enablement assets.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with experience working closely with marketing, engineering, sales, and partner teams with previous hands-on experience planning and supporting product launches, promotions, and developing content for webinars, and tier-one events.
  • Fluency with AI tools such as Copilot (or similar) to accelerate research, content development, and strategic planning.
  • Experience developing customer, sales, and field enablement materials, including pitch decks and customer-facing assets with the ability to conduct market, customer, and competitive research to surface insights and inform strategy.
  • Comfort presenting to and influencing senior stakeholders; confident client-facing communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and a commitment to working in an inclusive, collaborative, and respectful way across diverse teams.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent educational/practical experience).
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in product marketing, strategic marketing, or related roles within cloud-based, high-tech, B2B, or agency environments, with Microsoft experience highly desired in either a full-time or contractor capacity. Knowledge with Microsoft licensing required.
  • Working knowledge of AI agents that use natural language processing, including hands-on experience with tools like Copilot (or similar).
  • Strong customer empathy, with a proven track record of taking ownership of customer needs, preferences, and success through an outside-in perspective.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey ideas clearly and persuasively across all levels of an organization. Ability to foster intellectual curiosity through research, problem-solving, and innovative solutions with a track record of capitalizing on new business opportunities.
  • Experience taking initiative to independently manage multiple projects, ensuring efficient execution and measurable results.
