Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Managing Director to drive the performance and growth of Strategic Accounts both within their assigned region and across the broader organization. This role carries full responsibility for a defined region, consistent with the Regional Managing Director role, while also serving as a cross-regional leader with expanded scope and influence.
In addition to owning regional outcomes, the Senior Managing Director plays a critical role in driving alignment, consistency, and accountability across all regions. This includes establishing best practices, improving workflows, and ensuring disciplined execution that translates into measurable revenue growth.
Success in this role requires strong ownership of results, the ability to lead through influence, and a proven track record of scaling performance across teams and markets.
Core Responsibility
The Senior Managing Director is fully accountable for all responsibilities outlined in the Regional Managing Director – Strategic Accounts role, including:
  • Driving revenue growth, retention, and expansion of Strategic Accounts within their assigned region
  • Partnering with SVPs, RVPs, and General Managers to execute data-driven strategies
  • Ensuring field accountability and consistent execution against revenue targets
  • Leading account planning, performance management, and annual negotiations to maximize client investment
Expanded Responsibilities
  • Serve as a cross-regional leader with a dotted-line relationship to Regional Managing Directors, reinforcing alignment, accountability, and execution standards.
  • Serve as a direct leader for the Managing Director that acts as a free safety.
  • Establish, document, and scale best practices for Strategic Account development, data-driven selling, and client engagement across all regions.
  • Drive consistency in how Strategic Accounts are identified, prioritized, and managed, ensuring a standardized approach to growth.
  • Partner with SVPs and senior leadership to align on performance expectations, operating rhythms, and success metrics.
  • Create visibility into performance through standardized reporting, KPIs, and forecasting across regions.
  • Identify gaps in execution and partner with SVPs to improve performance, speed, and efficiency.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives with data, analytics, marketing, and operations teams to streamline workflows and remove barriers to growth.
  • Support complex, high-value, or multi-market Strategic Account opportunities to accelerate revenue and unlock scale.
  • Ensure accountability across all regions by reinforcing expectations and tracking outcomes.
  • Provide regular insights to executive leadership on performance trends, risks, and opportunities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field required; advanced degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in sales leadership, Strategic Accounts, or a performance-driven commercial role.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth within a region and influencing performance across multiple markets.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through influence and hold teams accountable without direct authority.
  • Strong expertise in data-driven strategy, performance measurement, and sales execution.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and improving operational workflows at scale.
  • Deep understanding of Valpak and Clipp products, competitive landscape, and market dynamics.
  • Excellent communication, executive presence, and organizational leadership skills.
  • Proficiency with Scarborough, Simmons, PRIZM, and My Blue Insights required.
