  • - Test messaging, offers, channels, audiences, and creative on an ongoing basis, and scale what works.
  • Account-Based Marketing and Sales Alignment
  • - Build targeted account-based marketing programs for high-value organizations, including school districts, library systems, nonprofits, and other eligible organizations.
  • - Develop target-account lists, identify key decision-makers, and coordinate marketing touches with sales outreach.
  • - Partner with sales to align on priority accounts, lead quality, qualification criteria, follow-up processes, and pipeline goals.
  • - Create multi-channel account programs using email, content, webinars, events, digital advertising, direct mail, and sales engagement.

Requirements

  • - 7 or more years of progressive experience in B2B marketing, growth marketing, demand generation, or a related field, including owning a program or function end to end, from strategy and budget through results.
  • - A track record of generating qualified B2B pipeline and closed revenue, not only leads or awareness, with results you can measure.
  • - Hands-on experience with email and nurture, paid acquisition, landing pages, CRM, and marketing automation, and comfort moving between strategy and execution, including building the landing page, email sequence, dashboard, or sales asset yourself when needed.
  • - Experience building and running account-based marketing (ABM) programs with a sales team, including target-account lists, coordinated outreach, and shared lead definitions.
  • - Experience with marketing operations, attribution, full-funnel reporting, conversion optimization, and testing, and the ability to turn data into decisions.
  • - Strong collaboration with sales and business development teams, and a belief that lead quality matters more than lead volume.
  • - Experience with partner, channel, or referral marketing, such as programs run through associations or cooperatives.
  • - Experience with earned media and thought leadership, such as pitching reporters, placing op-eds, managing an editorial calendar, or handling rapid response.
  • - Strong writing across sales copy and policy-literate thought leadership, with the range to keep each voice distinct.
  • - Experience managing outside agencies, freelancers, technology vendors, or specialized partners within a set budget.

Preferred

  • - Experience marketing to K-12 school districts, libraries and library systems, nonprofits and foundations, government or public-sector organizations, or other institutional buyers.
  • - Experience selling into organizations with complex procurement processes.
  • - Experience in telecommunications, wireless, connectivity, technology, SaaS, or other recurring-revenue B2B businesses.
  • - Interest in philanthropy and policy, ideally touching multiracial democracy, movement infrastructure, or telecom and broadband justice, or the ability to learn quickly.
  • - Familiarity with E-Rate or other public funding that schools and libraries use to buy connectivity.
  • - Experience in foundation, philanthropy, or policy advocacy communications.
  • - Experience as a first or solo marketing hire who built the function from the ground up.
