Reports to: E-Commerce Operations Director

Summary

The Sr. E-Commerce Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the performance of assigned product categories across e-commerce retail channels. The Sr. E-Commerce Manager role monitors key operational and sales metrics, collaborates with the internal BI team to develop data-driven insights and analysis tools, and works cross-functionally to ensure alignment on sales strategies. A critical focus of this role is the development, optimization, and automation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for centralized and recurring tasks to improve operational efficiency and scalability, with fast adoption of AI. The Sr. E-Commerce Manager reports to and partners with the Operations Director to implement sales strategies, identify new business opportunities, and achieve sales and profitability goals.

Essential Responsibilities

Category Management & Sales

  • Develop and execute ales strategies and execution plans designed to increase revenue, margin, and market share.
  • Identify opportunities to expand assortment, optimize pricing, and drive business growth to achieve sales and brand level goals.
  • Closely monitor operational and category performance metrics, taking corrective action as needed.
  • Collaborate internally with finance, logistics, supply chain, marketing, and merchandising teams to hit top-line sales goals.

SOP Optimization & Automation

  • Continuously evaluate existing SOPs and workflows to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead SOP optimization initiatives by streamlining processes, eliminating redundant steps, and implementing best practices across the team.
  • Identify and implement automation solutions for repetitive tasks
  • Collaborate with the BI team and IT resources to develop and deploy tools, scripts, and system integrations that automate manual workflows.
  • Track and measure the impact of SOP improvements and automation on team productivity, accuracy, and turnaround time.
  • Train team members on updated SOPs and automated tools, ensuring consistent adoption and compliance across the department.

Job Experience / Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Business Management and/or Marketing preferred.
  • 3–5 years of e-commerce experience, with a track record of growing revenue through e-retailers.
  • Experience in category management, product assortment planning, or merchandising strongly preferred.
  • Background with furniture / home textile is a plus but not required.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong business acumen with solid data analysis and interpretation skills.
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies and workflow automation tools
  • High sense of responsibility with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple workstreams.
  • Strong team player who can develop positive working relationships across departments.
  • Experience with e-commerce platforms: Amazon Vendor Central, Overstock, Wayfair, Walmart.com.
  • Vendor / Account Management experience.

Travel

Individuals will travel when necessary.

Work Environment

Work is performed primarily in an office setting. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen. The employee frequently is required to sit, stand, walk, and operate a computer keyboard, telephone, and other office equipment for extended periods of time. Dress attire must be business professional; employees must wear work-appropriate attire during the workday and maintain a clean, neat appearance.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
