Job Description

Senior Communications Coordinator - Maple Grove, MN or Woodbury, MN
The Senior Communications Coordinator supports and coordinates communications, marketing, public engagement, community development, and strategic planning initiatives for AE2S Communications and its clients. This position manages project tasks and deliverables, develops communications materials, coordinates stakeholder engagement activities, and serves as a key resource for project teams and clients. Working with a variety of public and private-sector clients, the role translates technical information into clear, audience-focused communications while supporting project execution and guiding less experienced team members.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop written, visual, and multimedia communications materials for a variety of audiences and platforms.
  • Supportand coordinates project-level communications, marketing, public engagement, community development, and strategic planning initiatives for AE2S clients.
  • Manage communications project tasks, schedules, documentation, and deliverables.
  • Serve as a day-to-day resource for clients, project teams, and stakeholders; and participate in client meetings, coordinate follow-up actions, and maintain organized project records.

  • Coordinate stakeholder engagement activities, including surveys, interviews, workshops, public meetings, and community outreach efforts.
  • Conduct research and translate information into reports, presentations, and communications deliverables.
  • Guide and support less experienced team members while contributing to successful project delivery.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, Community Development, Strategic Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of related professional experience in communications, marketing, project coordination, content development, community development, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience developing communications content and coordinating project activities.
  • Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills, including writing, editing, and proofreading.
  • Proficiency with design, content development, social media platforms, digital communications practices, and other communications tools.
  • Ability to manage and lead multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines with accuracy and follow-through.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with clients, project teams, and community stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, website content management systems, video/photography editing tools, or related software.
  • Experience supporting public-sector, utility, engineering, planning, economic development, or community development projects.
  • Experience coordinating public meetings, stakeholder engagement activities, or community outreach efforts.
  • Experience mentoring, guiding, or reviewing work of less experienced team members.
  • FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate.
Physical Qualifications
  • Primary functions require physical ability and sufficient mobility to work in an office setting.
  • Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time.
  • Occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist.
  • Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull light to moderate amounts of weight.
  • Operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement.
  • Fine coordination including the use of a computer keyboard.
  • May require lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds, with rare lifting of up to 50 pounds.
  • May require occasional evenings and weekends with overtime expectations varying with workload.
  • May be required to travel to off-site locations including occasional overnight stays out of town.

Compensation And Total Rewards
The anticipated starting salary for this position is:
$67,500 - $79,000
This salary range represents AE2S's good faith estimate at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, technical expertise, licensure, certifications, education, geographic location, internal equity, and business needs.
