Secretary/ location acquisition specialist

Responsibilities

• Write and schedule engaging Facebook posts, event announcements, stories, and day-of updates
• Keep our Facebook event details, locations, hours, offers, and customer replies accurate
• Pay attention to which posts and promotions bring people to a sale, then use what you learn to improve the next event
• Research promising locations and contact store managers, business owners, and property managers by phone, email, and in person
• Present The Meat Stop professionally, ask for event permission, and follow up until there’s a clear answer
• Confirm the approved date, hours, parking area, fees, and any insurance or property-owner requirements in writing
• Maintain a straightforward calendar and tracking sheet for leads, confirmed locations, posts, and follow-ups
• Help organize receipts, invoices, expenses, and basic bookkeeping records

Requirements

• Know how to make Facebook content that catches attention and gets people to act
• Write clearly, notice mistakes, and can turn a last-minute change into a useful customer update
• Are comfortable starting conversations and asking managers or property owners for a booking
• Follow through without needing someone to remind you
• Can juggle creative work, phone calls, and details in a changing schedule
• Are comfortable with Google Workspace or similar tools; bookkeeping or QuickBooks experience is a plus
• Can travel locally to meet potential hosts or check event locations when needed
• Experience with social media, sales outreach, event coordination, or administration is helpful, but a long résumé is not required. Recent graduates and applicants who have built these skills through their own projects or businesses are encouraged to apply.
