• Create a consistent classroom routine and schedule to support student success.
• Demonstrate a deep understanding of young children's developmental, social, and emotional needs.
• Encourage problem-solving skills in a creative and supportive manner.
• Instruction & Student Growth: Deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons that align with curricular objectives and student needs.
• Differentiate instruction to accommodate varying abilities, collaborating with parents and resource teachers to support exceptional learners.
• Promote active participation through interactive discussions, hands-on activities, and engaging instructional methods.
• Provide individual support and enrichment opportunities to challenge students at their own pace.
• Classroom Management & Student Engagement: Maintain a structured yet flexible classroom environment that fosters respect, safety, and learning.
• Implement positive, fair, and consistent classroom management strategies.

Requirements

• Physical Requirements
• - Use a computer (visual and keyboarding) for long periods.
• - Able to remain stationary (sitting or standing) 50% of the time.
• - Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
• - At times requires stooping, bending, turning, pushing, pulling, reaching and climbing stairs (2-story).
• - Use hands, fingers, and arms to reach, grip, and maneuver objects.
• - Must be able to respond quickly to sounds (fire/security alarms).
• - Work in noisy and crowded school environments.
• - Frequent walking throughout the campus.
