Job Summary

Own media relations and account delivery for beauty, health, and lifestyle clients in a fast moving agency, handling day to day activity, timelines, and deliverables while mentoring interns and coordinating across vendors and freelancers.

Account ownership: lead day-to-day activity, timelines, and deliverables for multiple clients with intern support
Media & influencer leadership: craft pitches, build media/influencer lists, and drive editor desksides and events to secure placements
Research & reporting: monitor client landscapes, produce timely press materials, and deliver regular reporting to optimize budgets and exceed expectations

Responsibilities

Coordinate day-to-day account activity, timelines, and deliverables in a fast-moving agency setting
Build and maintain relationships with media contacts, clients, and internal team members
Manage day-to-day workflow across interns, peers, clients, vendors and freelancers
Write press materials, key messages, event briefing materials, status documents and recaps—always delivering these materials in a timely matter with little to no revisions required
Problem solving to improve efficiency, maximize client budgets, and delivery beyond expectations
Build understanding and knowledge of the clients’ business and their competitive environments through ongoing research and media monitoring
Respond promptly to all client and internal requests.
Daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting
Support the team and participate in development and execution of media events, editor desksides, influencer partnerships, new business efforts, and creative deliveries as directed by senior leadership
Develop and grow media and influencer relationships through ongoing outreach and outings

Requirements

Minimum 2–4 years of public relations experience in an agency setting required; focus on beauty, health and lifestyle brands preferred
Bachelor’s degree in communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English, Marketing a plus but not required
Strong written communications skills as demonstrated through writing samples
Proven track record of generating results as demonstrated through published media examples
Hands-on mentality and strong work ethic; ability to thrive and remain highly organized in a fast-paced environment
Ability to be resourceful and think strategically and creatively
Problem-solving skills and inner drive to improve efficiency and delivery beyond expectations for both the agency and for clients
Personal time management to balance workload and meet deadlines without sacrificing quality and attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, as well as media database and monitoring tools such as Cision, MuckRack, etc.
