Job Summary

You will own monitoring and synthesis of news and trends, help craft media materials, and coordinate cross‑functional PR projects and events, while maintaining media lists and supporting reporting and pitching efforts.

  • Help prepare pitches, press materials, and multimedia assets for external audiences

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Check the news, industry trends, and competitor pages daily to share updates with the team.
  • Track online financial planning topics and compile lists of trending conversations and relevant reporters/media outlets.
  • Help compiling the weekly media clippings, summarizing and formatting for distribution in HubSpot.
  • Help write social media copy, draft and edit press releases, talking points, video scripts and PR materials.
  • Assist with video editing and multimedia production.
  • Support cross-functional projects and organizational events.
  • Assist with drafting media pitches for major organizational projects, reports, and research publications.
  • Update media contact database and organize files.
  • Prepare presentations/reports for staff, as needed.
  • Draft talking points, compile research and log post-interview feedback.

Requirements

  • Current college student majoring in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing or Journalism
  • At least one prior internship or campus leadership role involving content creation, writing or club communications is highly preferred.
  • Experience with major social media platforms (X, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, Reddit)
  • Experience using publishing, curation, monitoring, and reporting tools such as Sprout Social, , or others
  • Experience using apps such as Adobe Creative Suite or Canva
  • Video editing experience a plus
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite(Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with strong attention to detail and ability to convey complex information accurately and concisely in an understandable manner
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, including ability to work collaboratively and establish strong working relationships with colleagues within the organization as well as with outside partners and vendors
  • Self-motivated, problem-solver with ability to develop alternative solutions
