Public Relations - Senior Account Executive

Responsibilities

• Maintain outstanding client relationships through successful execution of client initiatives, effective communications, reporting, and problem-solving.
• Draft and develop press materials, including press releases, pitch letters, media advisories, executive bios, and fact sheets, as well as basic memos and marketing materials, in a precise and efficient manner.
• Edit content and collateral before sending to clients for approval.
• Identify and secure media placements across print, broadcast, and web, and conceive creative approaches to position clients as thought leaders and market influencers.
• Create, develop, and pitch story ideas and interview opportunities to trade, online, and business press.
• Manage and grow strong relationships with editors, reporters, columnists, bloggers, and other media contacts.
• Take the lead in supervising the Account Coordinator, Assistant Account Executive, and Account Executive; train them on skills necessary for their roles and foster a team environment.
• Effectively manage up to supervisors, keeping the team informed on progress against goals and anticipating next steps.
• Utilize project management skills to take ownership of multiple deliverables and projects, on deadline.
• Manage allocated hours on accounts, maintaining client utilization in the ~85% range.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• 3+ years of industry-related experience.
• Technically proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills; a self-starter and team player who is discreet, honest, and trustworthy.
