Job Summary

Own day-to-day client leadership and cross-team PR execution, turning strategic plans into story-driven campaigns that earn media coverage and client ROI.

  • Lead tactical client calls, media outreach, and coordinate internal teams to deliver integrated PR programs.
  • Create and optimize press materials, talking points, and interview prep to secure timely coverage across local, regional, national outlets.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Serve as day-to-day tactical lead for clients, including both internal and external client calls and meetings
  • Assist in the development of strategic PR plans that will help maximize brand awareness and client ROI
  • Lead creating, delivering, editing and optimizing PR materials: press releases, case studies, newsletter content, client talking points and digital content
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams
  • Ensure that messages support and are consistent with marketing strategies that produce measurable results for clients
  • Develop comprehensive talking points to prepare clients for media interviews
  • Provide onsite support at client events
  • Coordinate and facilitate media opportunities
  • Brainstorm for creative and unusual ways to help clients stand out in the noise
  • Report and convey success of campaigns and initiatives

Requirements

  • Strong media relations experience with proven ability to secure coverage across local, regional and national media, including digital, print and broadcast outlets
  • Excellent writing, editing and verbal communication skills, with a strong command of AP Style and the ability to tailor messaging for media, clients and executive audiences
  • Ability to independently manage multiple accounts, projects and deadlines in a fast-paced agency environment with limited oversight
  • Strong understanding of newsworthiness and the ability to identify timely, relevant and media-worthy story angles
  • Experience drafting and editing a variety of PR materials, including press releases, pitches, talking points, briefing materials and thought leadership content
  • Confident communicator with experience participating in client calls, presentations and day-to-day account management
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage shifting priorities and deadlines effectively
  • Ability to think strategically and proactively while also executing day-to-day tactical responsibilities
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally across PR, social media, creative and account teams
  • Experience developing media lists, conducting proactive outreach and building relationships with reporters, producers and editors
