Own and manage sponsorships and partner programs from proposal through activation, with event support and cross-department collaboration.

  • Oversee Hotel Partnership Program including stewarding, contracting, and renewals

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Creating proposals and agreements/contracts, completing sponsor wrap-up reports
  • Support the Saint Louis Zoo’s largest fundraiser of the year, ZOOFARI, with solicitation and clerical duties, as well as assistance with event committees.
  • Manage the Hotel Partnership Program, which includes stewarding and soliciting new and current partners annually, updating and renewing current contracts
  • Presence at any sponsored Zoo event to manage on-site sponsor activations. Assist at Development events throughout the year. May include nights and weekends.
  • Managing the execution and delivery of sponsorship hospitality benefits
  • Tracking sponsor invoicing and payments
  • Researching potential new or growing sponsorship opportunities
  • Creating meeting materials needed for supporting the Zoo Young Professionals, a volunteer young advisory board led by the Corporate Partnership Manager
  • Opportunity to co-host partner and donor golf cart and behind-the-scenes tours.
  • Collaborate across departments, including Public Relations, Marketing, Creative Services, and Special Events to ensure sponsorship contractual benefits are fulfilled.

Requirements

  • Computer literacy, general knowledge and use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint are a requirement.
  • The Partnership Marketing Coordinator reports to the Corporate Partnership Manager and will need to have a flexible schedule which will require working occasional evenings and weekends.
  • All successful candidates for this position will be required to submit to a criminal background.
  • Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. with some nights & weekends required.
  • Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 35lbs, on occasion and not part of the daily expectations.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in marketing or communications role preferred.
  • Excellent communication, writing and interpersonal skills, customer service experience, ability to handle and prioritize numerous tasks, teamwork mentality, and capacity to work independently are desired.
