Part-time Social Media and Content Creator

Responsibilities

• Updates and maintains the newsletter list- sends out Monthly newsletter.
• Creates content and posts relevant and engaging content on the social media platforms
• Develop a working knowledge of the agency and its structure and services to answer routine information questions.
• Performs essential clerical functions such as typing and filing.
• Participates in staff and team meetings as required.
• Posts events and news articles on social media, responds to social media messages and routes to the appropriate person for response.
• Assist with major fundraising events and other larger events, as required
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Education: Associates in Marketing or Social Media Management or equivalent required. Three years experience in Social media content creation and management can waive the education requirement
• Experience: Three years of data entry experience required, working within an office setting.
• Other: Bi-lingual (Spanish and English) preferred
• Other: May require a car and valid driver’s license.
• Certifications: CPR preferred,
• Skills and Abilities: 1. Intermediate to advanced computer proficiency, familiarity with MS Office (Word, Excel required, Access and PowerPoint preferred). 2. Proficiency in creating Word documents and Spreadsheets. 3. Ability to work as part of a team with minimal supervision. 4. Respect for clients and the ability to maintain confidentiality. 5. Ability to organize work and complete assigned tasks. 6. Ability to exercise good judgement 7. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. 8. Ability to maintain a calmness, patience and good sense of perspective under sometimes very difficult circumstances. 9. Ability to perform basic accounting functions. 10. Ability to accept responsibility.
