Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage and execute Orlando parks social media strategy.
  • Drive content planning based on park activities and brand initiatives, retail offers and consumer events.
  • Work as secondary support to corporate social team on the development of SeaWorld’s rescue content, telling the story of our company’s commitment to conservation and animal care.
  • Manage content producers (photo / video) and social media specialist to curate and create content to share on 12 social channels for 3 brands. Content including but not limited to new attractions, special events, zoological programs, retail, food and beverage and overall scope of experiences.
  • Work with a variety of agencies and internal resources to develop creative assets for use in organic, paid media and digital channels, as well as in park. This includes leading and organizing content and brand shoots.
  • Coordinate with in-park teams for video and photo shoots, including Public Relations, Zoo, Veterinary, Research Teams and Corporate Partners
  • Execute and direct photo/video shoots for key company milestones/announcements
  • Oversee various projects with contracted production agency throughout the year including pre-production, budgeting, production, and pre-production meetings
  • Analyze and present content and social performance to executive leadership on a regular basis.
  • Serve as a key player in the annual marketing planning process including new attractions, shows, events, culinary locations, and other park initiatives
  • Manage and organize the internal asset library
  • Other special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising or a related communications, tourism or hospitality field.
  • Must have at least 3-5 years of experience in marketing strategic planning, promotions, and direct marketing (email, retail promotions, media messaging, etc.).
  • Demonstrated ability to execute marketing core competencies (branding, strategy, creative discernment, analysis, customer segmentation, technology/digital).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage work across disciplines and teams, with blurred lines of responsibility, and deliver projects on time and on budget.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to adapt communication style to a number of different audiences, with a focus on senior executive level communication.
  • Must be able to multitask and work in a demanding, fast paced environment.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Must be available to work varying shifts/hours based on business need, to include nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.

  • Deep knowledge of the latest social media, media, entertainment, and interactive trends and have a proven ability to assess and report consumer trends.
  • Editorial mindset that understands the content audiences consume and how to create content that is consistent with the park/Company’s brand voice, style, and tone.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) with an ability to adapt communication style to a number of different audiences.
  • Ability to work with various departments and within varying organizational structures to achieve park and Company goals.
  • Enthusiastic, confident change-agent, performer and team player with the ability and passion to work in a demanding and fast paced environment.
  • Ability to analyze and present content and social performance.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage the priorities of multiple stakeholders in a dynamic and demanding environment
