Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage marketing, communications, event, and stakeholder engagement projects/programs; establish and carry out related goals and objectives that support Cancer Center priorities.
  • Coordinate operational activities associated with marketing initiatives, communications programs, meetings, seminars and special events. Manage project timelines, deliverables, schedules, registrations and related administrative processes.
  • Monitor and evaluate progress of projects/programs; prepare reports, meeting materials, agendas, minutes, and other documentation to support project and program objectives.
  • Develop, edit, publish and distribute promotional materials across digital, web, email and social media channels; support content scheduling, monitoring and performance reporting.
  • Coordinate logistics for meetings, seminars, and special events, including registration management, attendee communications, speaker support, venue coordination and event materials; independently manage assigned events and provide support for larger initiatives.
  • Liaise with appropriate stakeholders to coordinate event-related financial and administrative processes, including contracts, purchasing, travel arrangements, vendor onboarding, invoice processing, reimbursements and budget tracking activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Five (5) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
  • One (1) year of experience in coordinating projects and/or programs.

Preferred

  • Experience with coordinating events or marketing/communications activities.
  • Experience in higher education, academic medicine, or other large, matrixed organizations.
  • Proficiency in planning and executing in-person, virtual, and hybrid events, including registration management, speaker coordination, venue management, and vendor relations.
  • Familiarity with managing organizational social media channels, including LinkedIn, X, Facebook or YouTube.
  • Basic graphic design experience using Canva, Affinity, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar software.
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) platforms (HubSpot or equivalent) and content management systems.
