Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop, schedule, and manage CCAPE social media content across platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn), including posts, stories, reels, and short-form video.
  • Create engaging visual and written content to spotlight CCAPE programs, students, instructors, employer partners, events, and workforce initiatives.
  • Regularly capture high-quality photos and videos of students in CCAPE's career training programs (healthcare, skilled trades, food entrepreneurship, and other workforce offerings) during classes, labs, hands-on training, graduations, and site visits. This is a core, ongoing part of the role.
  • Edit and produce short-form promotional videos, reels, and graphics for digital marketing and web use.
  • Engage with audiences by monitoring comments, messages, and trends, and supporting timely responses in coordination with CCAPE leadership and College marketing.
  • Collaborate with the College's Office of Strategic Communications and Marketing on the development of brochures, flyers, class handouts, and other promotional materials.
  • Design and update program flyers, social media graphics, and basic marketing collateral in alignment with College branding standards.
  • Develop and execute content for newsletters, email marketing campaigns, website updates, and special initiatives, including drafting, designing, and scheduling email communications.
  • Maintain an organized digital asset library of photos, videos, and marketing materials.
  • Provide creative input on campaign ideas, storytelling approaches, and visual themes that reflect CCAPE's mission, workforce impact, and community partnerships.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in social media management, digital marketing, content creation, or communications.
  • Strong skills in photography and video capture using professional or high-quality mobile equipment.
  • Experience with basic video editing, graphic design tools, and email marketing tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, Constant Contact, or similar platforms).
  • Excellent written communication skills and ability to craft engaging, audience-appropriate messaging.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, including marketing, program managers, instructors, and leadership.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, community-based, higher education or workforce development environment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to multiple CCAPE program sites and off-campus training/lab locations as needed.
  • Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred

  • Experience in higher education, workforce development, nonprofit, or community-based marketing.
  • Experience developing branded marketing materials in collaboration with institutional marketing departments.
  • Knowledge of storytelling for education, career pathways, and community impact.
