Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Foundation Seed Marketing
  • • Market new varieties from the Foundation Seed program to seed dealers statewide
  • • Represent the Foundation Seed program as a vendor at two annual rice field days
  • o Organize a commercial field day for rice and soybean farmers and seed dealers
  • • Attend industry meetings as an exhibitor, including:
  • o Independent Professional Seed Association Annual Conference
  • o Arkansas Seed Dealers Association Summer Convention
  • o Anheuser-Busch Annual Rice Grower Day and Discovery Farm Showcase
  • o USA Rice Outlook Conference
  • o Rice Technical Working Group

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Degree must be obtained no later than December 2026.
  • Must submit a portfolio and/or links to previous marketing and communications work. Candidates should include a brief description of their role in creating submitted materials.

Preferred

  • 1+ years’ experience in marketing and/or communications
  • Proficiency with design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite)
  • Experience with donor communications or fundraising campaigns
  • Experience coordinating marketing or outreach events
  • Familiarity with agriculture, higher education, and/or commodity groups
  • Ability to travel statewide and work occasional evenings for events and field days
