Job Description

Introduction

America is building again. Bridges, refineries, power plants, data centers, stadiums. If something large is going up in this country, there is a good chance a crane is involved.

Bigge Crane and Rigging has been part of this country’s infrastructure story since 1916. Over that century, we have grown and reinvented ourselves at every major inflection point in the industry, from the machines we operate to the way we run the business. Today we operate the world’s largest bare rental fleet of rough terrain and lattice crawler cranes, with 1,700 machines working across the United States and 2,000 by the end of 2026.

That same forward-looking instinct now extends to how we sell. Social selling is reshaping how industrial companies reach buyers, and Bigge intends to lead that shift within our industry.

Job Overview

Bigge’s marketing team is small by design. Everyone on it has real ownership, real visibility, and direct access to company leadership. You will not be managed by a committee or lost inside a department. You will know exactly what you are working on and why it matters.

We are also in the middle of a deliberate transformation. AI is changing what great marketing looks like and how fast it can move. Bigge is already on the frontier of that shift within our industry, and we are building a team that stays there. This is a chance to grow inside that effort from the beginning.

We are looking for a creative powerhouse who is equally comfortable in the field taking photos as they are designing assets at a desk. You will be responsible for building and maintaining the systems that house our extensive asset library, ensuring our marketing presence is as world-class as the equipment we operate.

For the right person, this role has a long runway. Bigge is privately owned and promotes from within. We think in decades.

Responsibilities:

Creative Design, Photography & Copywriting

  • Photography: Get into the field on active job sites to photograph world-class equipment in action. You will lead the daily systematic capture of our fleet, ensuring our visual library is constantly updated.
  • Systematic Asset Management: Take ownership of our extensive equipment and parts photo library (1,000+ cranes). You will develop, maintain, and refine the daily processes for uploading, tagging, and storing these assets in iCloud, SharePoint, and Egnyte to ensure the team can access them instantly.
  • Graphic Design: Design high-impact visual assets, including social media posts, branded merchandise, internal campaigns, and promotional materials.
  • Marketing Copy: Develop compelling, brand-aligned marketing copy for social media, email campaigns, website content, and internal communications.
  • Video & Social: Edit short-form and long-form video content optimized for social media; collaborate with our social seller to execute content that drives engagement and recruiting. Operational Marketing & Sales Enablement
  • AI Integration: Explore and implement AI-powered tools to improve content quality, speed, and creativity. Continuously research emerging AI tools and bring relevant findings back to the team.
  • Strategic Support: Collaborate with various internal departments—including Safety, HR, and Sales—to design professional materials, including banners, email signatures, luncheon flyers, and benefits guides.
  • Website & Listing Maintenance: Assist with blog/jobsite post management and audit website listings for accuracy, including hours, photos, and general details. Report inaccuracies to the team for resolution.
  • Email & Campaign Support: Test and proof email blasts for accuracy and presentation; support sales and rental teams with mail merges and marketing best practices.

(Note: Listing cranes, parts, or photos on the website remains the responsibility of the Marketing Manager.)

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Creative & Systematic: You have a sharp eye for photography and design, but you are also disciplined enough to maintain the rigorous, daily data-management systems that keep a growing fleet organized.
  • Proactive Communicator: You are comfortable crafting marketing copy and collaborating across different departments to support their branding needs.
  • Growth-Oriented: You thrive in a fast-paced environment where AI and technology are actively reshaping our workflows.
  • Self-Driven: You thrive with autonomy and take full ownership of your visual and operational projects.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated skill in at least a few of the following: video editing for social media, graphic design, photography, AI content tools, AI image generation, short-form storytelling
  • Willingness to obtain FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot certification, fully covered by Bigge
  • Genuine enthusiasm to develop the skills you do not yet have
  • Passion for heavy construction, cranes, or the industrial world
  • Curiosity about how AI is reshaping marketing and a drive to apply it practically
  • Nice to have: Figma, drone operation, MCP integrations, personal brand building
  • Comfort getting out of the office and into the field
  • 0 to 2 years of experience; recent graduates encouraged to apply

Benefits:

  • Competitive pay and a matching 401(k) plan
  • Vacation, Company Holidays, and Sick Days
  • Flexible spending accounts/Health Savings Account
  • Reimbursement plan for the company Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) Policy
